About

Laura Christensen is a visual artist who works with paint, wood, and found vintage photographs.

Christensen earned a BA in German and a BS in Economics from Saint Louis University and an MFA from Utah State University. Several galleries and museums, including Bennington Museum, Brattleboro Museum and Arts Center, and The Albany Airport have featured her work.

In 2016, Christensen won an Artists’ Resource Trust (A.R.T.) Grant, a fund of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Previous awards include an Individual Artist Grant, a fund of the Cultural Council of Northern Berkshire, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. She also received a 2007 A.R.T. Grant for creation of new work exhibited at Kidspace in MASS MoCA. Christensen’s work is held in numerous private collections.

Laura is a full-time practicing, professional artist who lives and works in Western Massachusetts.
