Laura Christensen is a visual artist who works with paint, wood, and found vintage photographs.

Christensen earned a BA and a BS from Saint Louis University and an MFA from Utah State University. Galleries and museums, including M.A. Doran Gallery, The Hyde Collection, Tweed Museum of ArtBennington Museum, Brattleboro Museum and Arts Center, and The Albany Airport have featured her work. In Fall 2017, she exhibits her artwork at Simmons College in Boston, MA, and at The Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, NY.

In 2016, Christensen won the Artists’ Resource Trust (A.R.T.) Grant, a fund of the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Previous awards include an Individual Artist Grant, a fund of the Cultural Council of Northern Berkshire, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council. She also received a 2007 A.R.T. Grant for creation of new work exhibited at Kidspace in MASS MoCA. Christensen’s work is held in numerous private collections.

Laura is a full-time practicing, professional artist who lives and works in Western Massachusetts.
